Abstract
Raymond A. C. Young (b. 1906) was a United States Post Office carrier and the first African American appointed as a mail route inspector in Baltimore, Maryland. In this oral history interview, Young discusses discrimination in post offices and unions; the success of Lillie May Carroll Jackson and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) as due to "church people"; and a department store discrimination fight.
