Scope and Contents
Letters from many different Shrivers, principally Thomas, John S., Jacob, and Andrew K. Main subjects are banks, roads, railroads, politics, miscellaneous investments, mail, and canals in western Maryland. In the mid-1840s are letters regarding Thomas's invention of bow springs for wagons and his construction of wagons for sale.
