Scope and Contents
This collection contains records from Frederick Leigh's employment as a busboy and waiter with the Merchants and Miner's Transportation Company, 1939-1941. Included are Leigh's identification papers, employment record on the SS Chatham, discharge papers, and dues to the National Maritime Union. Leigh's photograph is included on his identification papers, as well as his signature and thumb print. His complexion is listed as "colored".
