Scope and Contents

This collection contains materials related to Frank August Jacobs' service as a private in the 313th Infantry during World War I. Materials include a Troop Billett card on USS Lennahan, giving the compartment and bunk location for Frank Jacobs, a pocket-size book, "Official Manual for Noncommissioned Officers and Privates of the Infantry, 1917", signed by Jacobs, Official Honorable discharge papers and enlistment records, and a copy of a 1917 photograph of "Uncle Frank Jacobs 'Doughboy', most likely taken in Paris.
