Abstract

A collection of papers from the Hammond-Harwood House in Annapolis, Maryland. Contains land transactions of the Jeremiah T. Chase family and letters between the Loockerman-Harwoods and Thomas Stone. Also includes letters from Nicholas Harwood regarding the capture and burning of "Philadelphia" during the Barbary Wars in 1803 along with a typed page on "Paper currency in Maryland" (authorship unknown) with some examples of early paper currency and engraved reproductions of the Townley coat of arms and Wm. Eddis coat of arms.
