Scope and Contents
The collection is comprised primarily of land patents granted to the Dorsey family in Frederick County, Maryland during the 1750’s. Five of the patents were issued to Edward Dorsey. A patent for land called “Pretty Salley” granted to John Howard also is included in the collection.
