Scope and Contents From the Sub-Series: Risk Books and Expiration Books were the means through which the Society tracked the total amount of insurance in force at any given time. The amount of coverage for a given policy was posted to the risk book at issuance. Upon expiration (in the case of 7-year policies) or cancellation (in the case of perpetual policies) the amount of coverage was posted to the expiration or cancellation book.
