Commodore Joshua Barney manuscript collection
This collection contains the papers of Joshua Barney and his descendants. This includes correspondence, financial documents, land records, business papers, military service records, and more.
Cooke papers
Collection relates mostly to the business affairs of William Cooke, as attorney and tobaco commisson merchant; about 150 letters (1785-1819); accounts; papers on the settlement of the estates of John Cooke and Mrs. William Young and John O'Donnell.

This collection contains bank drafts, both handwritten and printed, from Eutaw Savings Bank, as well as the bank’s correspondence, legal documents, and receipts.
J. Alexis Shriver papers
The papers of J. Alexis Shriver (1872-1951) are contained in 17 boxes and number approximately 3,000 items. Shriver was a business administrator, public celebrations organizer, local history buff, and collector of manuscripts. The latter three aspects of his life are represented best in this collection, which spans the years 1790 to 1945.

Shriver collection
The Shriver collection consists of daybooks, ledgers, cash books, and other accounts of the Shriver family businesses at Union Mills, Carroll County, Maryland (flour milling, saw millings, tanning, stores at Petersburgh and Big Pipe Creek). A majority of the collection is comprised of correspondence between the various members of the Shriver family concerning business and family happenings.
