Baltimore County Court chattel records
Three volumes of chattel records for Baltimore County, Maryland dated 1773-1784, 1785-1788, and 1811-1812. Entries include manumissions, bills of sale, bonds, powers of attorney, mortgages, and deeds of gift. The first volume contains the portraitist Joshua Johnson's manumission (p 299). Items sold include household furnishings, horses, tools and equipment, ships, and enslaved persons.
Carey and Kimber families manuscript collection
The items contained in the Carey and Kimber Families Manuscript Collection span over a hundred years, from 1847 to 1953, and encompass family history and general Maryland history. Of note are materials relating to the history of slavery, to Bryn Mawr College, and to the Octorara House in Conowingo, Maryland. The collection consists of scrapbooks, business and personal correspondence, yearbooks, memoirs, memorial programs, real estate advertisements, maps and photographs.
Carroll-McTavish papers
These papers concern the settlement of the estates of Charles Carroll of Carrollton (1737-1832) and of his grandson-in-law Robert Patterson (1781-1822). The collection includes correspondence, vouchers, legal and land records. There are also some papers of John McTavish (1787-1852) and his wife Emily Caton McTavish (1793-1867).

The Charles Ridgely papers contains papers pertaining to Captain Charles Ridgely, 1733-1790; his nephew and heir Charles Carnan Ridgely, 1769-1829; Charles Carnan Ridgely's son John Ridgely, 1792-1867; John's father-in-law (and distant relative) Nicholas Greenberry Ridgely, 1771-1829; and John's son Charles, 1830-1872.

This collection consists of papers of various members of the Ridgley Family and related families including the Gough, Howard, Hoyt, and Yeaton families. There are also bills and receipts for the Hampton house, the Ridgley family estate. Among the materials are the papers of Family members including Captain Charles Ridgely (1733-1790), John Ridgely (1792 – 1867), Charles Ridgely (1830 – 1872), and Helen West Stewart Ridgely (1854 – 1929).
