Abstract The Robert Goodloe Harper Family Papers consist of manuscripts belonging to the Harper, Carroll, and Pennington families. The collection begins in 1747 with a file of letters to Richard Croxall on the Baltimore Iron Works and concludes in the twentieth century with papers of various members of the Pennington family. The bulk of the collection, from 1784 to 1825, centers around Robert Goodloe Harper (1765-1825) and his wife, Catharine Carroll Harper (1778-1861), and include correspondence...

Abstract

This collection consists of the business papers of the Lowe, Seth and Ensey families, settlers in colonial Maryland. They contain indentures and deeds of land, land surveys, promissory notes, inventories of household goods, receipts for money received, legal papers and deeds pertaining to the Low and Seth families, and mortgages, 1709-1909.

Abstract

This collection includes deeds, mortgages, leases, and land warrants for property in Baltimore City, Anne Arundel County, and North Carolina. Included are land warrants for land in Iowa and Missouri rewarding military service in the War of 1812 and these are signed by Presidents James Buchanan and Millard Filmore. There is also a list of all deeds once held by the White family. One Virginia land warrant is signed by James Monroe.
