This collection contains clippings of articles written by Thomas Ewell including coverage of murders, disasters, fires, early railroad mishaps, and oyster controversy between Maryland and Virginia. Ewell was a reporter for Baltimore Sun covering news events in Baltimore City and the surrounding counties.
Twentieth International Navigation Congress scrapbook
This is the scrapbook of Lillian H. Hofmeister, who was the wife of the Baltimore Harbormaster, Jean Hofmeister, during the Twentieth International Navigation Congress held in Baltimore, Maryland from September 11 to 19, 1961. The purpose of the convention was to address topics of international seaport development for the accommodation of nuclear vessels and supertankers.
