Harford County business record books
This collection is an artificial agglomeration of record books of various types of businesses, combined upon the basis that were located in Harford County, Maryland.
J. Alexis Shriver papers
The papers of J. Alexis Shriver (1872-1951) are contained in 17 boxes and number approximately 3,000 items. Shriver was a business administrator, public celebrations organizer, local history buff, and collector of manuscripts. The latter three aspects of his life are represented best in this collection, which spans the years 1790 to 1945.
Shriver collection
The Shriver collection consists of daybooks, ledgers, cash books, and other accounts of the Shriver family businesses at Union Mills, Carroll County, Maryland (flour milling, saw millings, tanning, stores at Petersburgh and Big Pipe Creek). A majority of the collection is comprised of correspondence between the various members of the Shriver family concerning business and family happenings.
Towson and Cockeysville Electric Railway papers
This collection consists of papers pertaining to the Towson and Cockeysville Electric Railway Company, including subscription lists for stocks, maps and deeds of tracts of land on the route; receipts and expenses; annual reports; schedules; tax forms, etc., 1905-23.
