Abstract Louise Kerr Hines (1916-2007) was a civil rights activist. In the 1940s, she and her father, Dr. T. Henderson Kerr, were plaintiffs in a lawsuit against the Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore, Maryland for its denial of her application for a library training course.
