Abstract
The Baltimore Urban Renewal and Housing Agency Collection consists of 225 images taken by Maryland photographer Marion E. Warren between 1962 and 1970. The images provide excellent architectural views and street scenes of neighborhoods in downtown Baltimore which have since been demolished.

From the Collection:
The collection consists of approximately 2748 items including photographs, drawings, cartes de visites, cabinet cards, lantern slides, and film housed in 30 boxes, created in ca. 1850-ca.1990. Many items are undated. The Blakeslee-Lane photography studio made many of the photographs. There are also some photographs and lantern slides made by Barnett & Jaffe baja, Alexandre Georges Photography, Rettberg Brothers Photography and J.H. Schaefer and Son Photography.

The collection consists of 4,726 slides which illustrate all stages of development of the Inner Harbor and Harborplace. There is some additional written material including letters, brochures, and pamphlets: “Problems and Opportunities of Relocation,’ ‘The Charles center Project’. Dates depicted in the slides range from a print of the harbor in 1860, photographs from 1945 and 1960 to the 1990s.
