Abstract
In this interview, Captain Robert (Bob) Miller describes his objectives during the Normandy Invasion. He describes his troops training prior to the invasion, the journey to Normandy, and the struggles of landing on the beach. Captain Miller further describes fighting their way through France, in particular the fight for Gruchy and a region known as Purple Heart Hill. Captain Miller goes into great detail about the strengths and weaknesses of both the American and German armies.
