This collection contains the George W. Dobbin business papers, 1827-1891; case files re: litigation of William Bose, Michael Campbell, Catherine Dobbin, St. John Church, Ellicott City (Maryland), William G. Thomas and Alberton Manufacturing Company, Thomas Murphy, and Henry Elliott. Includes Dobbin's subject files on Johns Hopkins University and Hospital, Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, and material on the science of photography in the 1870s. Also, Robert Davidson Brown's journal of a trip to Ireland and England in 1847; five scrapbooks of theater programs, 1871-1906; and a ship's pass, c.1706, through the Dardenelles written in Turkish
