Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The collection consists of annual reports (1974, 1984, 1987), constitution and by-laws, minutes and programs (1974-1986), membership lists (1960, 1987), and correspondence (1962-1987). All of the material is arranged chronologically.

Although not a large collection, the papers document the life of a small, socially oriented society. The bulk of the material is correspondence, which describes the difficulties in recruiting members, and plans for programs during the terms of three of the society's presidents: Dr. George S. Cattanach, F. Brent Neale, and Dr. Norma Cattanach.

Used in conjunction with the minutes and programs, a relatively complete picture of the society's activities emerges.
