Scope and Contents
The collection consists of 15 volumes of scrapbooks concerning the career of Edwin Warfield. The books, dated from 1880-1918, contain newspaper clippings, printed ephemera and correspondence. In addition to the scrapbooks, there are 34 folders of miscellaneous clippings, articles, and graphic material; a 1904-1905 “Private Record by the Secretary to the Governor” and one volume of minutes of the Howard County Confederate Monument Association (May 16, 1911); over 50 letters, mostly 1884-1890, from political and business leaders; and 40 letters from Warfield (1883-1890).
