Scope and Contents

Mostly correspondence between Andrew Shriver, Andrew K. Shriver, and William Shriver about business and family affairs at Union Mills; main subjects include market conditions in Baltimore, tannery and flour activities. Several letters from John S. Shriver, 1832, discuss the purchases of stock in the Reisterstown turnpike. Also a copy of the letter to William T. Steiger offering him a position in the U.S. Patent Office, 1833.
