Richard Markland (1786-1868) was a carpenter from Talbot County, Maryland. He married Frances "Fanny" Troy (1796-1860), and the couple were parents to: John Thomas (1817-1863), married Elizabeth A. Davis; Richard (1819-1892); and James (1821-1896), married Mary Elizabeth Matthews.
