Waters, Henry Woodward Dorsey (1818-1880), undated

Henry Woodward Dorsey Waters (1813-1880) was the son of Nathanial Magruder Waters of Montgomery County, Maryland. In 1837, he married Prudence Jane Griffith (1816-1853), daughter of Major Greenbury Griffith of Anne Arundel County. Their children were: Nathaniel Magruder (1839-1909); Greenberry Griffith (1841-1864); Susannah Magruder (1845-1933), married William Nevins Worley; Achsah Dorsey (1848-1890), married Roderick Dorsey Hobbs; Tilghman (1851-1883), married Drusilla Hammond; and Prudence Jane (1853-1923), married Charles McGill Williams. After the death of his wife, Waters married Emily Griffith (1818-1903), her younger sister, with whom he had no further children.
