General
This letter is written by R. Peale in respone to a letter about his portfolio. He states that many of his friends are making collections and his portfolio is empty of letters and autographs. He has one if they think is worth preserving is of the older artist in American, the only one now who painted Washington from the life and in his 81, 82 year.
