Scope and Contents
The collection contains letters from Marshall Holland to his sister, Arzella Buechner, her husband, Anthony and their son, Anthony Jr. (the donor of the collection), during his service during World War II. The letters describe his daily life while training at various air force bases in the United States and documents his movements throughout Europe during his deployment in 1944-1945. Many of the letters written by Holland were sent via V-mail, or Victory mail. His service medals are also included, as well as a yearbook for the Victorville Flying School from 1942.
