Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The collection consists of one box with 71 folders containing 71 photoprints with a few negatives. The photographs, made between circa 1894 and 1915, primarily depict Baltimore buildings, including many office and apartment buildings. There are also some estate homes and waterfront buildings depicted, and a few sites outside of Baltimore and Maryland.

Many of the photoprints are retouched; some have notations in German on the verso, specifying building colors and materials, and may have been sent to the firm in Germany which produced the color versions of Rinn's photographs as postcards.
