The collection contains research materials compiled by H. Graham Wood for his studies on steamboats and his book, “Steamboats out of Baltimore.” This includes detailed notes on the various steamboat lines that operated on the Chesapeake Bay, including their routes, schedules, and captains. Wood also collected ephemera and publications on the topic of steamboats, which represent a significant part of the collection.
