Biographical / Historical

Charles Carroll was a statesman and a 1776 delegate to the Continental Congress from Maryland. He was a signatory of the Declaration of Independence, and the only Catholic to sign. He assisted in informing the Constitution of Maryland, and in 1789 he was elected to the United States Senate.
