The collection contains ledgers, account books, and medical school notes circa 1801-1813, of Dr. Charles Alexander Warfield (1751-1813) and his son Dr. Gustavus Warfield (1784-1866), practicing physicians in Anne Arundel and Howard County, Maryland.

Biographical / Historical

Dr. Gustavus Warfield served patients across Anne Arundel and Howard Counties. He lived in Glenwood, Maryland at his estate, "Longwood" with his wife, Mary Thomas of Philadelphia.
