Scope and Contents
1. Ledger 1780-1783, including accounts with Archibald Buchanan, Benedict Calvert, Charles Carroll of Carrollton, Thomas Johnson, Thomas Sim Lee, Edward Lloyd, Robert Morris, William Paca, William Smallwood; also Annapolitians Ralph Bassill (dancing master), John Ball and George Mann (innkeepers), and John Shaw (cabinet maker). Individual accounts of John and Samuel Davidson contain many items shedding light on social history of Annapolis. 2. Day Book 1784-1785, listing purchases and prices. 3. Ledger 1787-1795, with accounts of cargoes, merchants, and house expenses. 4. Day Book 1791-94, (part missing). 5. Ledger, Mrs. Eleanor Davidson, 1795-1805, includes many store expenses.
