Democratic City Convention Committee minute book
Abstract
This collection contains the minute book of the Democratic Convention Committee, circa October 1856. Topics of discussion included the desire to restore Baltimore and the maintenance of suffrage rights for all qualified. The volume describes actions taken to procure military protection at the time of the 1856 Presidential election 1856, and notes that the present police force was not adequate.
