R. H. Douglass & Company letterbook
Abstract
This collection contains copies of Baltimore trading firm of Richard H. and William Douglass to correspondents in the United States, West Indian and European cities. The business letters written to Haiti and the West Indies are in French. The business letters discuss the trade in sugar, tobacco, logwood and other articles and discuss the fluxuating value of currency (gourdes, doublons, etc.).
