Josephine Etting scrapbooks
Abstract
This collection consists of three scrapbook volumes containing clippings gathered by Miss Josephine Etting (1820-unknown). The subjects are very miscellaneous, but mostly concern social and political affairs. Volume I has advertising cards of New York and resort hotels, concert programs, a pencil sketch of Miss Rose Mordecai (February 1854); and a woodblock broadside for Kenton County Fair, Independence, Kentucky (September 1856). Volumes II and III contain obituary notices and reproductions in color of engraving of bombardment of Fort McHenry; also items of Old Baltimore interest.
