Biographical / Historical
Early in the 1960s the residents of the Valley area (a fashionable and wealthy community, mostly with many acres of real estate), north of Baltimore, banded together to resist the attempts of developers to take over tracts of land in the area. The Green Springs and Worthington Valley Planning Council, Inc. with offices in 212 Washington Ave., Towson, Baltimore, was formed, and residents of the member area were asked to contribute.
