Shoemaker family papers
Abstract
This large collection of material relating to the Shoemaker Family of Baltimore County, Maryland includes: a large amount of personal correspondence to and from various members of the Shoemaker family, 1838-48; business papers relating to the Adams Express Co., Dinsmore and Kyle Company, the Walker-Gordon Company, and the Deder Electric Company, receipted bills, 1853-1933, information pertaining to the Burnside Farm and cattle production there, materials regarding the Shoemakers' interest in road construction and improvement in Maryland, genealogical information, letters and papers relating to Samuel Eccleston Harper, printed ephemera, and miscellaneous materials such as passports, awards, and newsclippings.
