Robert and Jacob Franklin account book
Abstract
Account book of Robert Franklin, and later Jacob Franklin (d.1819), both of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, containing farm and house accounts; births, marriages, and deaths in the Franklin Family, and of slaves owned. Robert Franklin died 1735; family record continued through 19th century.

Scope and Contents
The earliest accounts in this book are those of Robert Franklin (d.1735). Accounts continue with those of Jacob Franklin (d. 1819). Records include farm and house accounts; births, marriages, and deaths in the Franklin family; and slaves owned by the Franklins with their births and deaths. Primary crops were wheat and tobacco, with livestock including beef, pork, and horses. Also noted are amounts of lumber sawn and the rental of houses.
