Biographical / Historical
The lineage of the Bosley family starts in Maryland with immigrant Walter Bosley (1675-1715). One of his descendants was Martha Emily Bosley (1856-1934), who married Robert Alexander Kimbrel (1853-1906) in 1876. At some point, the Bosley and Dimmitt families were linked by marriage. Beal Dimmitt was the third son of William Dimmitt, who died in Baltimore County in 1805. William Dimmitt's brother James also died in Baltimore County, in 1803. Rachel Dimmitt was James' widow. There is a Dimmitt family grave in Green Mount Cemetery.
