Scope and Contents
This collection contains surveys, plats, patents, and deeds for Dorchester County, Maryland. There are some items relating to Black and American Indian History on the Eastern Shore. The most frequently mentioned families are: Ennalls, Goldsborough, Thompson, and Lecompts. There are some notes and correspondence of surveyors. There are some miscellaneous records of land purchases and other bills of sale. There are occasional references to the Chesapeake and Atlantic Rail Road and Ennalls Station in the surveyors notes and reports. The oversize folder contains some land patents.
