Box 1 features correspondence and receipted bills from Counselman and Lucker, 1938-1941, case books from 1817-1857 and 1842-1874, respectively, and equity dockets from 1854-1869.

Box 2 contains material from 1866-1873, including equity dockets from 1870-1879, and conveyancing from 1870-1880.

Box 3 contains materials from 1874-1924, including equity dockets and indexes from 1879-1886.

Box 4 features materials from 1881-1916, including conveyancing from 1881-1898, and equity dockets from 1887-1902.

Box 5 contains 1 volume and 7 loose items from 1892-1897.

Box 6 contains equity dockets from 1897-1915, claim dockets from 1900-1916, and conveyancing from 1913-1924.

Box 7 contains chronoligical lists of business from 1854-1954.

Box 8 contains material dated between 1867-1874.

Box 9 contains material dated between 1875-1882.

Box 10 contains material dated between 1882-1897.

Box 11 contains material dated between 1898-1914.

Box 12 contains alphabetical lists of business, indexes to chronological lists of business, and materials related to cases settled. The materials in this box are dated between 1853-1930.

Box 13 contains material dated between 1870-1890.

Box 14 contains material dated between 1898-1921.

The oversize volumes are cash books dated between 1838-1902, day books 1829-1942, fee books 1942-1954, a C.L.S. ledger 1903-1918, securities ledgers 1914-1947, ledgers 1920-1925, balance sheets 1875-1883, rental records 1868-1952, a plat book 1892, settlement of profits 1898-1943, a list of conveyances of conine property by Wm. T. Roberts 1833-1882, and a scrapbook 1901-1906.

Scope and Contents

The Edward Hinkley Law Firm records contain case books (1817-1949), chronological lists of business (1854-1930), cash books (1838-1902), day books (1829-1942), fee books (1942-1954), ledgers (1903-1948), rental records (1868-1952), and settlement of profits (1898-1943). In addition, the collection contains a small section of correspondence and receipted bills (1938-1941) involving Charles C. Counselman and Frederick Lucker pertaining to the upkeep of rental properties and payment due on a note. There is also a List of Conveyance of Conine Property by Wm. T. Roberts (1833-1882), a scrapbook (1901-1906) of newspaper articles regarding court cases, and a plat book (1892) showing lots in Baltimore City and County involved in court cases.
