Biographical Note

Robert Wier Wayland was born in 1898 to Edith Wier and Martin Houseworth Wayland in Baltimore, Maryland. He lived in Baltimore for several years until moving into Sudbrook Park in Pikesville, Maryland with his wife, Gladys. He was actively involved in many yachting clubs that sailed on the Chesapeake Bay and was an Executive Committee member for the North American Yacht Racing Union, now known as the United States Sailing Association. He died in 1959.

The by-laws for the Sudbrook Club, the homeowners association for Sudbrook Park in Pikesville, Maryland are also included.
