Abstract

1. Journal of Mark Alexander, showing sales to early citizens: Peter and Richard Bond, Chas. and John Bosley, Lloyd Buchanan, Edward Cockey, Thos. Cradock, Chas. and John Gorsuch, John Green, Thos. and Wm Gist, John Gill, Chas. and Richard Croxall, Joshua Hall, Wm. Jessop, Alex. Lawson, Sam'l Merryman, John and Richard Moale, Chas. and John Redgely, Wm. Rogers, John and Tobias Stansbury, Drs. Henry and John Stevenson, Andrew Stigar, Vachel Worthington, etc. 1756-60. 2. Copies of invoices of cargoes shipped to Mark Alexander from Boston with accounts of sales (1773-74). Show quantities of rum, sugar, mackerel, pots and pans, flour, ships bread, etc., used in coastwise trade; also costs of supplying the sloops "Grampous" and "Nancy" for voyages.

Baltimore merchant selling variety goods to early citizens 1756-60, 1773-74, Merchandise from Boston 1773 esp. Supplies sold to sloops "Grampous" and "Nancy". Member Baltimore Salt Co. 1777(?) Member First Presbyterian Church of Baltimore 1766, 1770, 1773, 1783. (Father was Moses Alexander, d. 1760).
