Scope and Contents From the Collection: Though this collection contains newspaper clippings, biographical sketches, and journals, etc., it mostly consists of correspondence, related to the Latrobe family beginning with Benjamin Henry Latrobe Sr. (1764-1820) who designed the U.S. Capitol. The subjects of the letters and diaries deal with familial matters and the work done by B.H.
