At the beginning of the Civil War Mitchell worked in Baltimore. He joined the Confederacy as a runner of medicine and served as an agent of the Medical Dept. His job was to get drugs in the North and smuggle them into the Confederacy. For the duration of the war he procured and carried drugs from Baltimore or New York through the lines to Richmond. This document tells about his adventures during this period. Not dated.

They want seed for the farm. Also wants to know the sex of the baby when sister has the baby, which is expected.
