Abstract
Verso transcription: A fast decoy maker can chop, whittle and sand a decoy's head in less than ten minutes. Up until a few years ago most decoys were made of cedar; now balsa is being used because it is cheaper and lighter. Most professional carvers refund the price of any decoy that doesn't draw its share of ducks. A well-made duck decoy costs about $4, a goose decoy about $10.
