The Daniel M. Thomas papers consist of a fairly large and varied group of papers which relate to the personal and social life of the Thomas family of West River, Maryland. Although the material ranges in date from 1674 through 1938, the bulk of the material falls into the period between 1840 and 1890.

Daniel T. McCabe commonplace book

Abstract

This commonplace book contains short stories and doodles by Daniel T. McCabe, a resident of Baltimore between 1860-1865 when he was aged 11 - 16. McCabe's notes within the margins of his stories often display encouragement to the Confederacy, particularly support for Confederate President Jefferson Davis.

Dashiell family papers

The David Bendann Photograph Collection consists of three boxes of 33 glass and film negatives taken by Baltimore photographer and artist David Bendann . There are a few self portraits of Bendann. Most of the photographs are unidentified portraits or photographs of paintings or lithographs, including portraits of George Washington, Robert E. Lee, and Stonewall Jackson.
