Abstract

Herbert Frisby was an educator in Maryland for the Baltimore City public school system and Coppin State College, as well as the second African American to go to the North Pole, in 1956. In this oral history interview, he discusses his childhood and education, Arctic trips, and the development of the Matthew A. Henson memorial projects.
