The interviewer notes, however, that Mrs. Cox seemed apprehensive about certain topics so a decision was made not to press her. Lucy Jane Cox discusses issues such as: Sparrow’s Point (her father and one husband employed there), owning her own business (her and other husband owned a shoe shop), childhood recollections, obtaining credit, family moves, race relations and segregation.

A note from the interviewer indicates that Mrs. Thomas though a “willing and cooperative interviewee,” did not or was not able to recall much of significance about her neighborhood.
