Carter papers
This collection contains the business correspondence of Robert Carter of Nomini Hall, Virginia. Most of the letters concern Carter's investment in the Baltimore Iron Works and the day-to-day running of the company.
Chapman family papers
The material in this collection ranges in dates from 1744-1969. Most of the material consists of deeds, leases, bonds, loans, papers of the family, and the letters and papers of Mrs. Lottie Chapman Antrim dealing with her search for proof of Revolutionary War soldiers who were ancestors. There is also a history of the Principio Company, a history of the Mt. Paran Church, and two original copies of the sale of negro slaves.
