Abstract

The Woodward Family Manuscript Collection consists of publications, manuscripts, scrapbooks and other materials related to the Woodward family’s involvement with thoroughbred horse racing. From 1898 – 1957, the family owned Belair Mansion and estate, an important site for thoroughbred horse breeding for three centuries. Items include a family history, a Belair mansion guest book, newspaper and magazine articles, programs, manuscripts, and other memorabilia.
