Material concerning F.E. Marine's Book, 1835-1879

The Reverend John Hersey Collection covers the years 1829-1889, this being the years of his birth and death. The bulk of it falls into the period of the 1860s to the 1880s. There is a good deal of correspondence addressed to both the Reverend Hersey and to Reverend Marine. The Reverend Marine was seeking information about Hersey in order to w write his life story, which is included in this collection. The collection also contains some of the personal papers of Reverend John Hersey, with the bulk of this materical covering the period between 1829 to 1858.
