Scope and Contents

Contents of scrapbook by page: Pg. 1: Ephemera relating to Gossman's play, "Copy Book Stuff"- based on a short story by Sophie Kerr Underwood- being produced at Johns Hopkins University's the Playshop Theater on Homewood. This production of three short plays written by Hopkins students was the inaugural public production at the Playshop Theater in 1923. Pg. 2: Contains a letter from Sophie Kerr Underwood about Gossman’s “dramatic arrangement” with notes on the play. Pg. 3: ephemera and photos pertaining to Gossman's start in the Play Arts Guild: photo of Morris Cushing-one of the group's founders-from 1911, a letter from Cushing about Gossman’s work in a production dated circa 11.9.25, image of the Play Arts Guild Theater (undated), and a certificate for shares in the Play Arts Guild.
