Scope and Contents From the Collection: The Reverend John Hersey Collection covers the years 1829-1889, this being the years of his birth and death. The bulk of it falls into the period of the 1860s to the 1880s. There is a good deal of correspondence addressed to both the Reverend Hersey and to Reverend Marine.
